The Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate Program helps eligible property owners reduce their energy costs based on the purchase and installation of high-efficiency home appliances and high-efficiency equipment. Rebates are provided to property owners based on a percentage of the total project cost and household income.
The program is simple and easy. Property owners can apply for a rebate through the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate Program online portal or by calling our fulfillment center. The program will collect and verify personal, property and income information before determing eligibility and the amount of the rebate. Once approved for a rebate, property owners may redeem the rebate when they purchase an appliance and/or pay for a service from an approved merchant.
Program rebates are available for qualified appliances that have a certified Energy Star rating. Click here to see the full list of qualified appliances, eligible high-efficiency home improvements, and electrification technologies.

The maximum rebate that is available per household is $14,000. Home electrification and appliance rebates may cover up to 100% of a total qualified project's cost for households with a total annual income less than 80% of the area median income. For households above 80% area median income and below 150% area median income, up to 50% of the total qualified project's cost can be paid with the rebate.
If a property owner has already purchased and/or installed an energy efficient appliance or technology, they are ineligible for a rebate from this program. Rebates are not available retroactively. In addition, the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate Program does not permit property owners to receive a rebate for the same upgrade through any other federal grant or rebate.
